And the Reviews Begin!

The NY Times has a wonderfully complimentary review. Makes me want to run out and buy it! (And no, I'm not a pre-orderer. I must lay my hands on fiction.)

I pre-ordered. Hubby and I had a bitter row on Saturday because he disappeared for two hours (attempting to escape housework, childminding and general nagging, he took refuge in the local library but forgot to turn his phone on), thereby indirectly causing us to run late and turn up at the bookstore after closing. It took me the entire night and a couple of glasses of wine to put it all behind me. I can't wait to get my copy tomorrow!

Two glasses of wine is the price for forgiveness? Kat, you should have held out for more. A new car, or better yet, a full day of uninterrupted reading (because it's only fair!)

He got off lightly because it gave me a couple of days to reread book 5 in preparation.

Which reminds me, I'd better duck out and pick it up before the store closes today!

I finished HP6 last Monday and have been a-tither about all things Potteresque. I'm halfway though HP5 and might reread the entire series to find clues for the last book. It's all very addictive.

And I'm so glad I picked out the love matches. I gave my younger brother a big "told you so". :-) Incidentally, I wasn't a big fan of the way she wrote the romantic angst but my brother said it was one of the things that kept him slogging through the book. Huh. Maybe it's a guy thing?

OK, you've got me started. I was going to wait to read until I got on the plane for Texas, but I think I'm going to start this afternoon..... :)
